I did not use compatibility mode, just straight installed it, and as you pretty well know, I started using Bing and came across this forum, and I took you advice and downloaded a fresh copy of the XP driver for sound, and I just now got though loading it. I tried everything it seems, all except loading the old XP driver that I had managed to find online. The modem and touch pad transferred over great, but still no sound. Then it took the modemĪnd touch pad drivers that I had downloaded. So, if youre having problems with your sigmatel audio driver, i would try them all.
